I got invited to an awesome gathering of Bushcrafters and Woodsmen at Fish Pond Lake in southeastern Kentucky. I have to admit I was pretty nervous as I have zero bushcrafting skills but they welcomed me into their meetup and I had the best time. Everyone was seriously nice and genuine and just wonderful people. I got to hear some amazing stories and even learned a couple of survival skills like the bow drill and flint and steel fire making. There were a potluck dinner and amazing conversations. The event was family and dog-friendly as well. We had a little bit of rain but nothing that lasted very long and it really helped to cool off the warm day.
